  • Tyres and tyres on wheels, charged at $20 each.

Bin Loading

Maximise Your Bin Capacity

Efficient loading directly affects value — the better a bin is packed, the more it holds, often allowing a smaller (and more cost-effective) bin size to handle the job.

Plan the load before you begin. Consider how waste can be arranged to minimise empty space. Unplanned loading creates air gaps and voids that reduce usable space.

To maximise capacity on your next job:

  • Break down bulky items such as furniture, cabinetry, and fixtures — hollow or irregular shapes take up more space intact than disassembled
  • Cut timber and branch waste into shorter, uniform lengths for efficient stacking (you can also get it mulched for your garden)
  • Flatten cardboard and packaging materials rather than throwing them in whole.

Proper load planning reduces the number of bins required per job and helps keep skip hire costs aligned with project budgets.

Do I need a permit?

Some delivery areas may require a permit, if you aren't sure please get in touch. For most postcodes, permits are required only if you want to put the bin on public land (nature strip, road ect).

We can arrange these before your bin is dropped off if our team is aware beforehand.
